   CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Process

Most projects are selected through a competitive two-stage Call for Proposals process: the Letter of Intent (LOI) stage and the Full Proposal stage. In the LOI stage, applications are evaluated based on specific criteria relating to projected outcomes and funding priorities for the fiscal year. LOIs that are not sufficiently relevant to the SCEK funding priorities will not be recommended for the Full Proposal stage. At the conclusion of the LOI review stage, all Proponents will be notified of the results of their LOI evaluation.

Following the LOI review, selected Proponents will be invited to submit Full Proposals with more detail relating to the project design, budget, and implementation. Full Proposals are evaluated for scientific merit by selected subject matter experts and ranked to enable final selection of projects by the SCEK Fund Steering Committee. Projects over $100,000 require OGC Board approval.
